Groupon is looking for an ambitious SEO Specialist with experience in content marketing, preferably the Retail/Ecommerce sector to work with the SEO/Growth teams and writers. The candidate will work with the writers by identifying and closing content gaps and creating successful informational on-page content, as well as inspirational topic hubs and advising on SEO best practice. The person will be required to support the SEO Director to develop an overarching global strategy, apply the latest industry knowledge to optimise from single pages to site sections/full website, scale out traffic driving content hubs and create a search friendly information architecture.

The candidate is expected to adapt our global SEO strategy to the individual sections and plan supporting activities in the best possible way, identifying growth areas and stitching together individual content pieces with a strong, easy to crawl and clear internal linking structure.

This position is suitable for a candidate with comprehensive SEO knowledge covering on- but also off- pages tactics and strategies.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • ⭐️ Actively proposing new tactics, improvements or alternative approaches
  • ⭐️  Supporting Groupon’s content teams with insights, content gap analysis on trends, content and keyword planning for commercial, informational and inspirational content as well as  on-page optimisation of high value pages
  • ⭐️  Understand all SEO ranking factors and able to recommend improvements with a focus on on-page  (incl tech and offpage)
  • ⭐️  Conducting site audits and competitor gap analysis
  • ⭐️  Build a robust SEO process to ensure new SEO requirements are identified and built into the content and product workflows.
  • ⭐️  Manage, maintain and increase the online presence of Groupon’s website by utilising modern organic on-page search and online marketing techniques.
  • ⭐️  Reporting on performance against benchmarks
  • ⭐️  Closely monitoring the competitive landscape and identify growth opportunities
  • ⭐️  Support and educate the coupons team with understanding SEO to improve optimisation and search traffic from the start
  • ⭐️  Advocate SEO across the business
  • ⭐️  Communicate seo performance to stakeholder of projects and relevant teams
  • ⭐️  Research new SEO industry developments, tactics and strategies – specifically in the Ecommerce and Coupons verticals

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • ⭐️  Proven track record in a SEO role
  • ⭐️  Able to create, justify, communicate and implement organic search tactics and local strategies to the SEO team, internal teams and external writers
  • ⭐️  Extensive knowledge of on- and off page ranking factors and optimisation tactics and techniques
  • ⭐️  Conducting site audits and competitor gap analysis
  • ⭐️  Digital content management (CMS) experience, understanding of HTML
  • ⭐️  Experience in reporting using a variety of SEO & analytics tools such as: Brightedge, Botify, Screaming Frog, AHref, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Keyword Planner.
  • ⭐️  Confidence working within cross-functional, international teams
  • ⭐️  Passion for Digital and Search Marketing

This role can be based both in Bristol or London.
