Senior Delivery Manager
The Opportunity
Just Eat Takeaway (JET) is rapidly expanding its Product & Technology (P&T) offering across all of its markets and is looking for leaders to grow the capabilities and improve the efficiency of it’s software development lifecycle.
Core to the success of our organisation is our people and our teams, and as such we are looking for a Senior Agile Delivery Manager who can support, coach, mentor and guide our teams to deliver Product & Technology’s portfolio of Platform projects and programmes.
Key Accountability
The Senior Delivery Manager will be accountable for supporting multiple software engineering teams, in planning and delivering the corporate vision & objectives, both within Product & Technology and across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Coaching teams to be predictable, sustainable, value driven and flexible.
- Support the team by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the team has clarity on vision and goals.
- Maintaining team focus on committed goals, by removing blockers, managing dependencies and risks.
- Working across organisational & geographical boundaries, to help teams overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints.
- Reporting on team progress towards goals, managing expectations and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Driving a continuous improvement mindset, and developing self sufficient agile teams.
- Playing an active role in the JET delivery community, and sharing best practice across Delivery Management.
Role Specific
As a Senior Delivery Manager in the Platforms department, you will be part of a team of delivery managers providing an agile delivery management capability to Platform Engineering.
This capability supports a variety of engineering teams, across multiple geographic locations, by providing in-situ delivery management support and leadership.
The teams Include, but are not limited to, the following teams:
- Channel Engineering
- Integration Services
- Content management
- Data systems
- Platform & Reliability Engineering
- Security (Accounts / Infosec/ Fraud)
- Architecture
- Enterprise IT

A successful candidate will be:

Experience
A successful candidate will have:
- Expert knowledge and experience cultivating high performing teams utilizing Agile & Lean techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple technical or digital projects and/or products meeting outcomes and driving business value.
- Experience of working across the full Software Development Life Cycle in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Demonstrable experience applying Agile principles into real world practices that work for the teams they support.
- Proven track record of successful collaboration across functions and disciplines
