The  Sodalite project (sodalite.eu, H2020 G.A. 825480) is taking a performance-centric view of Cloud infrastructure. HPE’s part of Sodalite is to develop a performance optimization framework to adapt applications to a variety of hardware backends.

The HPE HPC/AI European Research Lab a unique blend of industrial research and tech development using Agile/ Lean methodologies. Research Engineers are highly-technical, team-thinking, communication-based software engineer/research engineers from a variety of backgrounds.

If you are from a HPC, Cloud or analytics background and are interested in team-based multi-disciplinary technical development then read on.

We are looking for someone with the flexibility to work on both short- and longer-term research projects, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve project outcomes. You should be enthusiastic to learn new technologies and able to communicate what you have learned to others.

You have already

  • Cloud or HPC or AI or analytics background
  • Development experience in C, C++, Python or related languages
  • Software ecosystems knowledge inside one sector
  • Parallel programming experience in one of its various forms

Your personal skills include

  • Strong team spirit but capable of independence
  • Ability to represent oneself and the team both inside and outside the company
  • A knack for finding fun in the complex and difficult

You see great value in

  • Team-based technical developments
  • Communicating with a diverse set of people – the team, our partners, the rest of the company, customers, 3rd party developers
  • Combining technical knowledge with bigger-picture thinking

You might also have

  • M.Sc. / Ph.D. in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematical discipline
  • Experience working on EU projects such as H2020
  • Experience working on either HPC applications or Cloud applications
  • Experience working with research consortia
