Disrupting the landscape of sustainable farming – this eco-conscious business is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team. Joining a business driven by sustainability – you will help the growth and development of the engineering team. Working alongside electronics, mechanical, and software engineers, you will be leading your team through a crucial phase of product development. This position would suit someone with five plus years experience, with a keen interest in environmental sustainability.

What experience you’ll need:

  • Degree or relevant background in engineering (electronics, mechanical, etc).
  • Industry experience working in design, systems, or product development.
  • Strong communication skills – we’re looking for someone passionate about growing and developing a team.
  • Project management experience.

Experience working on horticulture, agriculture, biology, or sustainability projects is hugely advantageous.

What you’ll be doing:
You will lead the development of the engineering roadmap, ensuring a balance between resources and company goals. You will communicate with the wider team, conducting one-on-ones to direct and encourage team members. As the company is still in start-up phase, you will still be able to operate in a hands-on capacity – operating as a mentor and lead. Through this, you’ll ultimately develop and build a team of passionate engineers driving change in environmental sustainability.

What you’ll get in return for your talents:
You will get a comprehensive benefits package – alongside the chance to work with an award-winning team. You will also have access to flexible working hours, including remote working. You will have access to 25 days holiday a year, plus bank holidays, alongside training and professional development as you see fit. There is also discretionary availability for non-work related training that may develop you personally overall. For those looking to cycle – there is a bike repair station (should the journey prove perilous!) and a local coffee supplier to start the morning right.
