RAC now have an exciting opportunity for someone with experience managing Apps & modern websites & technology to join our ever growing Marketing Team in Bristol (currently working from home), based on a 2- 3 month fixed term contract to start with, there may be a possibility for the role to be extended or even made permanent!

As a Digital Product Manager, you will support the management of the MyRAC (web and app) product roadmap, from inception through launch to the customer journey.  This includes covering the performance and user experience of these products to ensure the best customer experience is delivered and RAC objectives are achieved.

It will include management of performance and user experience delivery between the commercial divisional teams and the development teams to achieve product success.  The role will ensure that the UX and performance of these digital products is optimised and the RAC brand is managed effectively across all channels and ensuring that the voice of the customer is heard and acted upon.

 

Role purpose

The role will report into the Senior Digital Product Owner and support the following activity;

  • Defining and communicating customer needs through research and insight, translating it into new product features for the delivery teams to design, leading to successful product launches/releases
  • Create effective product delivery plans and manage the delivery of the MyRAC product UX requirements working closely with the RAC Studio and Technology to ensure best in class outcomes
  • Define and deliver the MyRAC product reporting and analytics capabilities to measure performance KPIs and provide insight to inform the product roadmap
  • Support the virtual team to ensure products are delivered on time and the product features meet customer and business needs
  • Conduct research with users, partners and Technology to influence product decisions and utilise data and insights to develop personas
  • Develop detailed requirements, working closely with a range of stakeholders, to deliver the MyRAC product roadmap, including commercial stakeholders and group stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage the product backlog and help prioritise the development team’s work to provide a clear plan on order of delivery
  • Work with the Change Team to ensure cross-divisional resources are lined up and primed ahead of their involvement in key initiatives and projects
  • Take part in daily stand-up meetings with the key business stakeholders, business analysts, UX team to agree the user acceptance criteria for each user story, ensuring the development teams are ready to start work and building the right functionality on time which meets customer needs
  • Stay abreast of key trends in digital and keep ahead of the industry and what our competitors are doing

 

Skills, Knowledge and qualifications

The role will require the successful candidate to have experience managing Apps and have a deep understanding of modern websites and technology, ideally a subject matter expert in digital product knowledge, delivery & management and know how to develop solutions alongside involvement with ecommerce platforms. As well as a strong Digital background we are looking for someone who can identify simple solutions to complex problems all whilst working at pace and achieving tight deadlines. This really is a fantastic role for someone who has been working within an agile environment, has the ability to translate customer language into technical details and has excellent commercial awareness.
