The Role

We’re looking for a bright spark who is dedicated, great at communicating and committed to delivering solutions that help make our vision reality.

You’ll support Pure Planet’s members by managing the continual development of our Pure Planet product (app, web, crm and associated integration to backend systems). The ideal Product Owner will serve as the voice of the business, take ownership, be flexible, have great attention to detail and be able to collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of people.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • collaborate with stakeholders to set the vision and roadmap for development of the Pure Planet product

  • act as the voice of the stakeholders and customer into the development teams

  • develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide our software development teams.

  • refine, manage and prioritise the product backlog to optimise the value being delivered

  • Plan sprints for development teams and work with testers to ensure stories are completed in line with definition of done

  • work closely with our design and delivery team and partners to co-create optimum solutions

  • be the central point of contact for the product and be able to answer or direct all product related queries

  • manage the agile rituals, including sprint planning, sprint reviews and retros.

  • manage the handover of the new features into operations and member services

You’ll be working with our small tech team, a few of our key partners, and reporting to our CTO.

You’ll be joining our planet at an early stage –  many exciting developments are planned and the role may evolve into diverse areas and functions. You will be able to adapt to change and love doing things differently. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop our proposition with your creative approach to problem solving and natural sense of curiosity. A passion for sustainability and the environment is desirable!

If you have:

  • experience as an Agile Product Owner in a fast paced digital organisation

  • capability to manage stakeholders and their expectations

  • deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies

  • experience with a definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products

  • ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

  • knowledge on how to define and prioritise a product backlog

  • analytical and problem-solving skills

  • strong communication and influencing skills

  • an inquisitive attitude with the ability to constructively challenge others

  • excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

  • a flexible approach, require minimal supervision, and have the ability to multitask

  • experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines; and

  • the more knowledge or experience in the following areas the better: Mobile applications; web based systems; Salesforce; AI and automation; the retail energy sector;
