Application Support Analyst

    The Role

    We’re looking for bright sparks who are dedicated, great at communicating and committed to problem solving.

    You’ll support Pure Planet’s members by providing technical support for our users and systems. The ideal analyst will take ownership, be flexible and have great attention to detail.

    Main responsibilities will include:

    ⭐️ working with our users and technical teams (devops, design and development) to understand technical issues and drive them to resolution;

    ⭐️ managing service and change requests on our systems;

    ⭐️ administration of joiner, change and leaving processes; which includes configuring laptops and setting up users on various systems;

    ⭐️ managing our 3rd party suppliers to resolve issues to SLA. Raising issues with their support teams and managing them to conclusion;

    ⭐️ managing the provision and upgrades to our cloud based server architecture;

    ⭐️ Managing the resolution of any security incidents with our 3rd parties and our outsourced security team.

    ⭐️ maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Pure Planet’s product and purpose. Be passionate about our mission!

    You’ll be working with our small tech team, a few of our key partners, and reporting to our CTO.

    The Person

    You’ll be joining our planet at an early stage –  many exciting developments are planned and the role may evolve into diverse areas and functions. You will be able to adapt to change and love doing things differently. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop our proposition with your creative approach to problem solving and natural sense of curiosity. A passion for sustainability and the environment is desirable!

    If you have:

    ⭐️ 3+ years experience in supporting digital solutions across apps, web, middleware,  and cloud based systems;

    ⭐️ experience in managing AWS environments (spinning up and decommissioning instances, route 53 changes, whitelisting IP addresses).

    ⭐️ experience in Windows Server and workstation and Active Directory – user management, printing, installation of software on laptops and servers.

    ⭐️ experience in UNIX command line skills.

    ⭐️ knowledge of networking, FTP, SSH, DNS, Proxy.

    ⭐️ familiarity with Service desk tools and ITIL based processes. Jira skills if possible..

    ⭐️ experience in Google G Suite – creating users, groups, updating permissions, printing.

    ⭐️ familiarity with remote working software such as Open VPN.

    ⭐️ an inquisitive attitude with the ability to constructively challenge others;

    ⭐️ excellent verbal and interpersonal skills;

    ⭐️ a flexible approach, require minimal supervision, and have the ability to multitask;

    ⭐️ experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines; and

    ⭐️ the more knowledge or experience in the following areas the better: Mobile applications; web based systems; Salesforce; AI and automation; AWS; middleware; and billing and charging in the utility sector
