Photos of TechSPARK
We’re a not-for-profit who are dedicated on making the tech cluster in the West the best it can be. We want people who believe in a mission of building clusters to make Bristol & Bath a better, more resilient, place to live and work. If you join TechSPARK you will work from this set of values:
- Be Passionate. We love what we do and the impact we’re having. We want everyone to be the same!
- Stay Curious. We don’t believe in there being a wrong question. We want people to know why we do things and help us get better.
- Lead with Solutions. We love a solution though!
- Own the Result. We’ve all had something go wrong! Just accept it, own up and let’s see how we can move on!
- Do More. Do more than you’re supposed to. Take initiative. Everyone pitches in here and everyone gets the opportunity to shine.

Job opportunities at TechSPARK
Meet the TechSPARK team
Ben is MD of TechSPARK and leads on strategy, operations and our business consultancy services. He has previously managed Business Development for Invest Bristol and Bath and still helps as their Digital Sector Specialist.
Geraint is the man behind the content. Editor, social media specialist and story spotter - he also keeps an eye on our jobs and event pages. He's welsh and if you're scared of introducing yourself, this is how you say his name.
Head of Parnerships
Ashley is Head of Partnerships of TechSPARK and leads on commercial operations and our go-to market business proposition. Ashley has extensive experience of the regions tech and digital industry, having previously held senior roles at the BBC and WBB. In his spare time he likes cliches - like spending time with his family, or drinking wine.
Sarah is helping to manage our busy event calendar and curate a few of our events.
Her 15 years of experience in festivals and events, science communication, and creative technology, has led her to become an excellent event director, an advocate of Bristol and its creative tech hub, and recognise the importance of events to enable business growth, learning and development.
Social Media Manager
Vanessa looks after all our social media activity here at TechSPARK and Bristol Calling. Before joining us, her career had taken her across Europe and Asia, working both for advertising agencies and then directly for Philips International, where she looked after global marketing for everything from hairdryers to TVs to MRI scanners. Now based in Bath, when she’s not championing the Bristol & Bath tech scene, Vanessa is kept absurdly busy with her three children. This leaves her with a combined 3 minutes a week to keep practising her frighteningly rusty Mandarin.
Swindon & Wilts Community Manager
I enjoy identifying, creating and nurturing collaborations in business to facilitate growth with experience inpayments, education, technical and training - it's all about people.
