In case you missed the headlines, earlier in January we launched the Investment Activator Programme. This pilot programme will run until December 2020 and will see us put a spotlight on investment activity in the West of England through content, events and network building. The events will include Silicon Gorge, the premier pitch event in the West, and the Quarterly Investment Briefing which provides a regular opportunity for investors in the region to network, share and learn whilst hearing about new investment initiatives and current raises.
This is the first in our monthly series that will share what we know about who has raised in the last month. And it’s been a great start to the year when it comes to investment announcements. We’ve seen over £20M of funding flow into the region across 5 companies in January – and those are just the ones that we know about.
As you probably know already, there are often investment headlines that remain unwritten as some companies (or investors) don’t want to announce it publicly and it is considered ‘undisclosed.’ On the flipside, some people want to share it far and wide, these are the stories that we’ve heard about this month:

Calling all investors
The next Quarterly Investment Briefing is an opportunity for investors to network, share and learn. If you are an investor who would like to attend, or a founder that would like to share more information about your current raise, you’ll find more information here:
The next event is 26 March, 2020
Are you raising investment this year?
