Bath-based data firm Iridium Insights is offering up a couple of free sessions for people interested in learning about understanding trends in their business data using Microsoft’s Power BI. With 20 years of experience behind them, the team at Iridium Insights know analytics and data reporting inside out and are keen to share their knowledge.
“The event was the first at the Bath Digital Festival to sell out, and we had to turn people away at the door”
Emily Neill (pictured left) tells us: “The session is for anyone interested in improving their management info reporting and data visualisation. It’s aimed at general business managers and analysts, not just technical/IT specialists.”
The talk, delivered by Helen Gore (pictured above), was first held as part of the Bath Digital Festival last month, and it was so popular Iridium decided to do it again at Bath Innovation Centre (on 30 November) and Engine Shed in Bristol (on 28 November) for those who couldn’t attend the first time.
As Emily explains: “We were pleasantly surprised at the response to the event. It was the first at the Bath Digital Festival to sell out, and we had to turn people away at the door. This is why we are adding these two extra sessions in Bath and Bristol, as there is clearly a growing interest in the Power BI tool.”
“It was great to be part of a bigger platform to showcase Bath’s myriad digital and data capabilities”
Emily thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the Bath Digital Festival too: “It was great to be part of a bigger platform to showcase Bath’s myriad digital and data capabilities – and the networking was really good! The Cyber-Security talk by the NatWest fraud team was both fascinating and terrifying! We also really enjoyed the talk by Ben Hoyle of EIP on AI and Machine Learning.”
Iridium Insights have more planned events for the future if you can’t make these. As Emily says, “We are planning to run some hands-on Power BI workshops in the next couple of months, as well as our upcoming seminars. We are also regular contributors to the Bath:hacked and BathCamp meetups.”
